Your Message on Breathable Mesh

Put your artwork on a perforated banner material that allows air to pass through the display. Mesh gives your message an open-textured surface for indoor or outdoor use, with a finished size chosen for your space.

The small openings are part of the banner itself. They allow airflow and give the printed image a different appearance from solid vinyl. Choose mesh when that open construction suits your project, and plan the artwork around how the banner will be viewed.

An Open Mesh Construction

Our mesh banners use 8 oz coated polyester with 37% airflow perforation. Your artwork is printed on one side. The openings let air move through the material rather than relying on separate slits cut into a solid banner.

Consider the viewing distance and how much detail your message needs. Clear lettering and a well-organized layout can help the design read at its finished size. Check the original artwork carefully, especially photographs, fine lines, and small text. Airflow is a material characteristic, not a wind-resistance guarantee for an installed display.

Finish It for Your Display

Heat-welded edges and grommets are included. Welding reinforces the edges, while grommets provide attachment points along the sides you select. Choose their placement and spacing around the way the banner will attach to its supporting structure.

Paid finishing options include webbing for added reinforcement along the top and bottom welds, rope along selected top or bottom edges, and pole pockets for mounting with poles. These options have different requirements and cannot all be combined. Review the finished size, attachment method, selected edges, and artwork placement together before ordering.

For an oversized display, unusual mounting arrangement, or high-volume project, contact us for a custom quote before finalizing the artwork. We can review the production and freight requirements with the project in mind.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a mesh banner made from?

This product uses 8 oz coated polyester mesh with 37% airflow perforation. It is printed on one side and is suitable for indoor or outdoor use. The small openings are part of the material's construction.

How does mesh compare with solid vinyl?

Mesh has an open, perforated texture; solid vinyl has a continuous surface. The openings allow air through but also change the appearance of the printed image. Consider the viewing distance and level of detail your artwork needs. The airflow figure is not a guarantee that an installed banner will withstand any particular wind conditions.

Are welded edges and grommets included?

Yes. Heat-welded edges and grommets are included. Webbing, rope, and pole pockets are paid options. Some finishing choices require others to be removed, so select the combination that matches the intended mounting method rather than adding every option.

Where can I place the grommets?

There are 15 side combinations, including all sides, opposite sides, adjacent sides, and a single edge. Spacing choices include every 2–3 feet, every 1–2 feet, every 6–12 inches, corners only, or custom whole-inch spacing from 6 to 48 inches. Check the selected sides and spacing against the finished dimensions and attachment points.

What does webbing add?

Webbing adds reinforcement to the top and bottom welded edges. It requires welding and cannot be combined with rope or pole pockets. Its price applies to both the top and bottom edge lengths for every banner.

Can I choose rope instead of grommets?

Rope is available along the top, bottom, or both. It requires welded edges without grommets, webbing, or pole pockets. Rope is charged by the selected edge lengths for each banner, so review the edge selection along with the quantity.

How do I choose pole pockets?

Select the actual pole diameter: 1, 2, 3, or 4 inches. Pockets can be placed on the top, bottom, left, right, top and bottom, or left and right edges. They require welded edges and grommets to be removed. Pocket pricing includes selected edge lengths and a setup charge for each banner, not just once per order. If either finished dimension is below 12 inches, contact us to confirm pocket availability.

Which artwork files can I use?

Prepare a PDF, JPG/JPEG, or PNG up to 300 MB per file. Your original uploaded artwork is used for printing; the canvas and review images are previews. Check the source file for spelling, image clarity, finished dimensions, and placement before approval.

What if my artwork has different proportions?

Center preserves the original physical print size when that information is available. This can leave blank space or clip artwork larger than the banner. When physical-size information is unavailable, Center keeps the complete image visible in proportion. Fill stretches the artwork to the finished shape and may change its appearance, so review the result carefully.

How is the billed size calculated?

Each finished dimension rounds up separately to the next whole foot for billing, while the finished size you enter stays unchanged. An 18 × 18-inch banner therefore bills as 2 × 2 feet, or 4 square feet, before quantity is applied. Edge-based finishing charges also use whole-foot-rounded lengths.

Will a large banner have a seam?

The seamless threshold is 192 inches on the shorter side. Above that, the banner requires seaming and folding, may take additional production time, and may have slight image misalignment at a seam. These sizes require a custom quote rather than standard online checkout.

How much is shipping, and when will it arrive?

Standard online shipping is $15 per order nationwide, added once at checkout. Complete the order, payment, and artwork before 5 PM Eastern for standard delivery in two business days.
